Marjorie Jean Baird Griffin

Marjorie Jean Baird Griffin, the daughter of Thomas and Cora May Congrove Baird, was born on May 23, 1921, at Newport, Iowa. She was the youngest of fourteen children.

She graduated from Morning Sun High School in 1938, and was married to Max H. Griffin on October 29, 1939. They had two children, Larry Max Griffin and Thomas Baird Griffin.

She was employed at the Community Bank in Columbus Junction, Iowa, from 1963 to 1987, retiring as an assistant vice president.

In addition to her professional career, she enjoyed many hobbies, which included such things as cooking, baking, sewing, and playing bridge.

She loved her family and the town of Morning Sun, Iowa, where her many, many nieces and nephews, the greats and great-greats would frequently visit at her home. (There were a total of 34 nieces & nephews!).

This most deserving recognition is in celebration of her life, and all those whom her life touched.
