Taught English at the Baraboo Wisconsin High School during 1971-73. For several years thereafter life was complicated with Mary's teaching, Peter's completion of his Ph D and post doctoral program, changing jobs and the birth of their sons, Daniel and Andrew. Homemaking then became her full time job while participating in important community, church and school activities and responsibilities. In 1985 Mary was challenged by the opportunity to teach as in instructor in Developmental Reading in Kern College Union N.J. From 1986 to 1993 she was an instructor in Developmental Reading and Writing, English 101 and 102 at Union County College, Cranford, N.J. Since September 1993 Mary has been a graduate assistant in the Expository Writing Program and New York University. She has been challenged by the idea of getting her PhD before she becomes 50 years old. Mary has continued many of her volunteer activities in her church and community. She has been a board member (1984-88) and president (1988-90) of EDGE, a non-profit organization for the education of gifted and talented children. She is a volunteer in the Westfield Library and a member and co-chair of Educational Studies - a research arm of the Westfield N.J. P.T.O. 1988-90. 6/21/94
