Mary Benjamin Bowen (BS Home Economics Education '59), wife of over 35 years and mother of four children, is my heroine. She has an unending array of attributes, which she has displayed over her lifetime; I shall dwell on one.
She is a real confidant to her friends and to her many cat and dog human acquaintances. She loves them all, listens to their plights, gives incisive advice when asked, and makes no judgement about how or why they arrived in the state they are currently in. She truly loves everyone, and in many cases, the unloved.
