Mildred G. Ripley (Millie) was the primary influence and mother of two Iowa State graduates, her children, Douglas '69 and Elaine '75. Her undying support for education and loving encouragement enabled her children to complete their degrees at Iowa State.
Born and raised in Swift Falls, Minnesota educated in a one room schoolhouse and vocational training in cosmetology, she raised four children with her husband Douglas, all achieving post secondary degrees.
