My mother was valedictorian of her high school class but never had the opportunity to attend college. Although her achievements are little known outside of her family, church, and community, I wish to honor her for being the best mother a son could have ever asked for, as well as for her outstanding contributions to her family as a wife, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. Our family has been truly blessed by her presence and love. 7/1/96
