Rowena Adams Lamb came to Iowa State in the early 1920s, contracted flu then scarlet fever, and spent several weeks in the infirmary before returning home. She subsequently obtained a normal school teaching certificate and taught in rural Monona County schools and the Bronson public school. She has shown a life-long warmth and friendship to people of all ages. Born October 17, 1904, she will celebrate her 90th birthday this fall.
