Ruth E. Geiter Creswell was my mother. She grew up on a farm in Grundy County. Unlike most young women growing up in the 1920's she had the opportunity for further education. She attended Iowa State teachers College and taught a short time. She then returned to college and received a degree in home Economics at Iowa State. I am very proud of her achievements.
