Ensign Sarah Boese, United States Navy, is a 1992 graduate of Iowa State. Sarah earned her degree in Psychology, and as one of seven women in a battalion of 87 midshipman was assigned as the Battalion Commander during her last semester. Ensign Boese’s first active duty assignment was as Personnel and 1st Lieutenant Division Officer for Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron One at Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida, where she was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for exceptional professionalism and loyal devotion to duty by greatly enhancing her command's mission effectiveness. 7/1/96
