Sharon Kay (Cook) Schmidt. A successful chemical engineer and a darned good hand bell ringer. A graduate of Ames, lA High School, 1977, she received her BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State Universlty in 1981 and her MS degree in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University in 1983. She married Gerald K. Schmidt in 1981.
