Shirley Gertrude LaGrange was born January 11, 1923, in Early, Iowa. She married Garner Elmer Wessrnan (September 14, 1920-December 13, 1989) of Marathon, Iowa, on October 2, 1943. They had five children: Stephen, Scott, Jon, Neil and Andrea. A short but full life, Shirley died from breast cancer on October 27, 1966. Her compassion endures in the hearts of those she touched.
