Shirley- is a model, mother, wife, community member, and 4-H community leader. She created a warm, loving, supporting environment for her family as the children grew. Now we are able to create the same environments for our children. Her faith is evidenced in her actions treating all as friends opening her heart and home to foreign students at ISU and a young mother in need of compassion. Her leadership and organizational skills as well as her kindness and sense of humor have influenced hundreds of young 4-Her's setting a role model for them to emulate. Shirley Pilgrim has made a difference in her world that will be evidenced for generations to come. We her children are proud to honor her in the Plaza of Heroines.
