Theodora was born in 1915 and died in 1986. She is my mother, and it is through her encouragement and support that I attended and graduated from Iowa State University.
It may be of interest to know that I lived in Old Botany Hall during my junior and senior years at ISU. Several of us majoring in Botany had the good fortune to receive this assistance during the early 1960's. I for one couldn't have afforded to complete my education at ISU without it.
