Tina Marie Cann was born May 13, 1961 in Davenport, Iowa. She is the youngest in a family of four sisters and one brother who reside in Bettendorf, IA. Tina graduated from Bettendorf High Shool in 1979. On June 28, 1980, Tina and Bill Bates were married in Bettendorf.
In a time when many women choose to work outside the home, Tina has chosen the career of a full-time homemaker to nurture, strengthen, and inspire the lives of her four children -- Kelley, Laura, Katie, and Hannah. She has been active in PTA and school affairs and serves as a Girl Scout leader. Tina Bates is also a seasonal interior decorator for a national chain of fast food restaurants.
