Wanda Rose Cadwell Borchers, Exceptional Wife and Mother

Born: December 25, 1937 to Merle and Ada Cadwell, Promise City, Iowa; Valedictorian Seymour High School, Seymour, Iowa 1956; Iowa State University 1956-1960 -- B.S. Home Economics Education; Married Harold Allison Borchers February 28, 1960.

The couple lived in Pammel Court from 1960 to 1968 while Harold completed his B.S. degree in Forest Management and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Entomology. While helping her husband through graduate school, Wanda Rose was a mother to three lovely daughters: Sheryl Lynn, Mary Sue, and Margaret Ann. The family moved to Bemidji, Minnesota where Harold has been a professor of biology at Bemidji State University. The three lovely daughters are married to fine husbands who are like sons to Wanda and Harold. After thirty-five years, Harold and Wanda love each other and have fond memories of Iowa State University.
