The seven years I lived in Ames was a time of remarkable friendships. My circle of women friends has enriched my soul and heart in many ways often beyond expression in mere words. These bonds endure though I have wandered far from the city of these friends. I will always have with me fond memories of our talks, graduate school tales, walks, blues and jazz shows, work, and the many other "ordinary" things of life during those years. I am a better person for having come to know the extraordinary women friends of Ames.
