Zola Elaine Vifquain (Woodard) Bath was born March 14, 1927 in Ames, Iowa to Zola Ochiltree and Russell M. Vifquain. She attended Ames public schools, received a B.A. from the Univ. of Iowa in Educational and Child Development in 1949, and an M.S. from Iowa State University in Guidance and Counseling in 1973. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and PEO, an alum of Outward Bound of Marble, CO, and a member of Collegiate Presbyterian Church. She was a public school teacher for 23 years. Zola Elaine married Richard E. Woodard in 1950 and later remarried in 1974.
